Benin is a melting pot of a broad variety of ethnic groups and languages (e.g. Fon, Yoruba, Bariba, Fulani, Somba and more). Under the umbrella of Vodoun the spiritual traditions of these varies groups have come together and formed very powerful spiritual path. Vodoun is considered the national religion of the Republic of Benin and honored by Office of the President. Vodoun priests must be multi-lingual and conversant in Ifa, and many other traditions.
